Ovals and cones - amamede´s painting

Ovals and cones (ovais e cónicas)

Mixed media on canvas

52x86

In this canvas, dominated by oval and cone shapes intersected in an almost random fashion by linear elements, the artist seeks to give the depicted objects dynamic equilibrium, in search of original lines of force in colour schemes marked by great tension, dominated by shades of brown, green, violet and yellow. This colour scheme, highlighted by a dark background, seeks to create a complex spatiality in which asymmetries are reinvented in geometric domains, building abstract dreamworld spaces.

This canvas is contained in the catalogue of the Albuquerque e Lima Gallery, where it is available for purchase.
